Skinomi TechSkin Full Body Skin

Skinomi's screen protector offers not only protection for the screen, but also a back cover to keep the body of your watch protected as well. The back cover comes in metallic grey, so if you opted for the Dark Blue watch it might not match as nicely. The screen protector is made of plastic film — with only .1 millimeter of thickness it'll be barely noticeable on your watch, but it also won't provide as much protection as a tempered glass protector.

This package also comes with a lifetime warranty from Skinomi.

iLLumashield Anti-glare Screen Protector [3-pack]

While iLLumiShield's screen protectors are also made of PET film and not rugged tempered glass, it does aim to tackle a major issue that plagues wearables all too frequently — bad glare when trying to use your watch outside. This is accomplished with a matte finish that doesn't compromise the crystal clarity of the watch screen.

You get three screen protectors in this pack, all featuring a self-adhesive backing and are resistant to bacteria, oil, and fingerprints.

Plants Vs. Zombies 2

Plants vs. Zombies is a venerable mobile franchise for a good reason.

The bizarre premise of protecting your back lawn from hordes of undead with sunflowers and pea shooters (literally pea plants turned weapons) is certainly part of that, but there's a lot of tactical thinking in terms of plant choices before the attack begins, and placement. In Plants vs. Zombies 2, you're taken back in time to defend against zombies dressed in era garb, and try out all sorts of new mechanics. The zombies are getting smarter, and challenge your reaction speed in a number of ways, though you also have a whole new complement of plants to use. Stages also have new terrain features to keep every round fresh. Plant food can be collected to super-charge any plant when things get especially hairy.

All in all, Plants vs. Zombies 2 presents deep strategic gameplay in a fun, colorful package.

Star Command

Star Command is a sci-fi strategy game with a retro pixel art style. Players take command of a spaceship that vaguely looks like it could have been pulled out of a Star Trek movie, and recruit a crew, upgrade facilities, and embark on intergalactic adventures that usually end in a firefight with grotesque aliens.

Battles rage between ships with different mini-games for each weapon system, or against boarding parties, where you need to move crew members into position, put out fires, and make sure your people don't get sucked out into the cold void of space when there's a hull breach. Over time, your crew increases in skills, enabling them to man the ship's various stations with increasing effectiveness.

If you're looking for a fun, light-hearted single-player experience with great writing and a lot of long-term progression, Star Command is where it's at.

The Battle for Polytopia

If you're a fan of the Civilization franchise, you just have to check out The Battle for Polytopia. This indie game features polygon tribes battling for control of the battle arena. The game features simple turn-based gameplay that's quick and easy to pick up and play. Each turn, you collect stars based on the number and size of the cities you control, which you can spend on upgrading your tribe's technology tree, building troops, or collecting resources. You must be wise with how you spend your resources and position your troops on your turn.

There are multiple ways to play. For solo play, you can create a custom game that either ends after 30 turns, or play until only one tribe remains. There's also the rarely scene pass-and-play multiplayer option, which lets you set up a custom game among friends and even keep them saved so you can play the same game over time. If you aren't able to play in person with friends, the AI offers a pretty decent challenge with difficulty levels ranging from easy to "crazy". There are four tribes available to you when you download the game, with six others available via in-app purchases.

You can now apply to beta test the Honor 6X Nougat update in the U.S.

Be the first to try EMUI 5.0 on the Honor 6X.

Honor has announced that it will roll out the Nougat-based EMUI 5.0 update to the Honor 6X sometime in the month of March, and the company is now kicking off the beta test for those located in the U.S. If you're using an Honor 6X in the U.S., you can sign up to test the update by sending your device's IMEI number to huaweifut@huawei.com.

As we've seen on the Mate 9, EMUI 5.0 brings several much-needed improvements, including a notification panel that actually works, multi-window mode, and an optional app drawer.

Honor made its name on the back of its hardware prowess, but the software limitations with previous iterations of EMUI made it difficult to recommend its handsets. With the company now looking to expand its reach in Western markets, it finally pared down on customizations and is offering a cleaner implementation of its interface with EMUI 5.0.

Google has shipped 10 million Cardboard VR headsets since 2014

Mobile VR usage has skyrocketed last year.

Google has announced that it shipped over 10 million Cardboard VR viewers since its launch in 2014. The company also said that over 160 million Cardboard apps have been downloaded, out of which 30 apps have over 1 million downloads. The numbers are a healthy increase from January 2016, when Google touted 5 million sales and 25 million installs for Cardboard apps.

In recent months, Google has turned its attention to the Daydream mobile VR platform, with the company stating that it built a more immersive platform thanks to lessons learned from Cardboard. The Daydream View VR headset currently works with six phones — Axon 7, Pixel, Pixel XL, and the Moto Z series — and there are over 100 apps tailored for the platform. Google says that people using Daydream are spending about 40 minutes per week using the platform, and that YouTube accounts for over half of all content consumption.

At Mobile World Congress, Google's VP of VR Amit Singh detailed new experiences coming to the Daydream platform. The company has partnered with Sky to bring Sky VR content to Daydream, including a red carpet show for Star Wars, David Beckham specials, clips from Disney's The Jungle Book, and more. The content was previously limited to Cardboard, but today's announcement makes it available for those using Daydream as well.

In addition to Sky VR, Google is adding new AR experiences:

Tango technology powers devices that help you bring virtual objects into your world, and now three new augmented reality (AR) experiences are available. The Sims app lets you use your phone with Tango technology to travel around the Sims house; Chelsea Kicker puts a Chelsea football player right in your space, so you can take your picture with him or even try to best him at a few soccer tricks; and WSJ AR lets you visualize stock trends.

Serious work was put into the LG G6's wallpaper design

There's more to it than you'd think.

Everyone loves to personalize their phone a bit, and that usually starts with a wallpaper. But before you download one of your own, you're going to start with a pre-installed wallpaper, and LG put some serious work into the default set on the LG G6.

They didn't explicitly follow Material Design, but they sure got close.

LG's visual designers spent a few days with the art and color experts at Pantone to create unique, eye-catching artwork for the dozen or so pre-installed wallpapers on the phone. The end result is lots of subtly colorful and graceful looks that don't overflow with wild combinations like you may see on other phones. The default wallpaper, shown in LG's marketing and on the box, was a product of this process — look for the subtle lines that make a "6" in the wallpaper.

You wouldn't be alone if you saw hints of Material Design philosophy throughout the process, with the stacking of physical paper and plastic to create layers of depth. When we asked LG's interface designers about their Material Design influence, they said that they weren't directly following Google's guide but did find in the end that they came up with many of the same ideas.

If you see an LG G6, be sure to take a few moments to appreciate the wallpapers.
