HMD Global's Nokia T20 tablet is coming to the U.S. next month for $250

HMD Global says the tablet will get two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

Nokia brand licensee HMD Global has launched a new Android tablet to take the fight to the best cheap Android tablets. The T20 is only the second Android tablet to carry the Nokia brand name. As some of you might remember, the Finnish company announced a value-focused Android tablet called the Nokia N1 in 2014.

The Nokia T20 sports a 10.4-inch LCD display with 2,000 x 1,200 resolution and low blue light certification. It is powered by a 12nm Unisoc T610 octa-core chipset, which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Thanks to a microSD card slot, users will be able to easily expand the storage further by up to 512GB.

The tablet comes equipped with a 5MP camera on the front and an 8MP shooter on the back. While there's no fingerprint sensor, the front camera does support face unlock. The Nokia T20 also features stereo speakers, dual microphones, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Keeping the lights on is an 8,200mAh battery that is claimed to provide up to 15 hours of usage on a single charge. There's support for 15W charging as well, but you'll only get a 10W charger in the box.

The tablet will ship with Android 11 out of the box, and HMD Global promises to deliver three years of monthly security updates. However, it will only get two major Android OS updates. Just like the best Nokia phones, the T20 offers a near stock Android experience.

The tablet is now available to purchase in the UK at £180 for the Wi-Fi version and £200 for the LTE version. It is slated to go on sale in the U.S. from November 17 for $250.
