As long as it hasn't been more than 30 days since you removed the contact, here's how to get it back.

  1. Open the Contacts app on your phone.
  2. Tap on the menu, three lines, in the upper left.
  3. Select settings (looks like a gear) towards the bottom of the pop-out menu.

  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap on undo changes.
  5. If you have multiple Google accounts on your phone, choose the one your missing contact was associated with.
  6. Select the time range that would capture the moment that you deleted the contact.
  7. Tap on confirm.

After the app does some thinking, you'll see a pop-up letting you know that your contacts list will be restored to the date or time that you had chosen.
